Ms. Dana Sigalos is the retired Director Stakeholder Engagement & Social Responsibility for BHP Billiton, as of 2019. She previously served as Director of Stakeholder Engagement & Social Responsibility for ConocoPhillips, the world’s largest independent exploration and production company based in Houston, TX. In this role, Sigalos is responsible for the development of strategies for managing global stakeholder engagement and social issues, including human rights.
Prior to this position, Sigalos served as Stakeholder Relations Manager, focusing on external affairs and stakeholder management for 48 states in the United States (excluding Alaska and Hawaii). From 1979 to 1994, Sigalos worked with Phillips Petroleum Company, earning a position as Land Supervisor in Houston, TX.
In 1996, Sigalos was assigned as an International Negotiator focusing on West and South Africa exploration opportunities. Following her international assignment, Sigalos was transferred to Washington, DC where she worked for 11 years as a Federal Government Affairs Manager and registered lobbyist for ConocoPhillips, managing federal issues for North and South America. Sigalos is a graduate from the University of Oklahoma with a BBA in Petroleum Land Management. She is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL), and a Certified Professional Landman (CPL). Born and raised in Okmulgee, OK, Sigalos currently resides in Houston, TX.
