CHINA: African American Media Delegation visits Beijing, Xi’an and Shanghai

A select group of African American media leaders visited China in December 2012 to learn about the country’s rich history, culture and media practices. The delegation was hosted by Wilson Global client, the China – United States Exchange Foundation, headquartered in Hong Kong.

Mr. Cloves Campbell, Chairman of the National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA) led the delegation, which included editor Kierna Mayo, NNPA Editor-in-Chief George Curry, CEO of Real Times Media Hiram Jackson, radio talk show host Warren Ballentine, and NNPA photographer Ann Ragland. The delegation met with Chinese government leaders and journalists, and visited cultural and historic sites in Beijing, Xi’an and Shanghai.
