African Union Mission to the USA

The African Union Mission to the USA is the first bilateral mission of the African Union (AU) outside of Africa. Launched on July 11, 2007 in Washington, D.C., The AU’s Mission is headed by Ambassador Amina Salum Ali, who serves as its First Permanent Representative and collaborates on behalf of the African Union with the executive and legislative branches of the U.S. government, the African Diplomatic Corps, Bretton Woods Institutions, the Organization of American States (OAS), and other stakeholders, including the African Diaspora. Wilson Global assisted the Mission with media outreach from 2007 to 2012. Wilson Global also conducted media training for the Mission’s key staff.
